The Milipol TechX 2026 (MTX 26) Conference and Exhibition held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Republic of Singapore. Leading the Brunei Darussalam delegation to the Conference and Exhibition was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the National Security Committee. The attendance of the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence was at the invitation of the Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency K. Shanmugam.

Also joining the delegation were Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, Acting Permanent Secretary for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Amat Mulia DCP Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Royal Brunei Police Force; Awang Azizil Hakim bin Brahim, Acting Controller of Royal Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance and Economy; as well as senior officers from the Prime Minister's Office.

With the theme “Supercharging Innovation Today for Our Safe Tomorrow", MTX26 is an international conference and exhibition on public safety technology, jointly organised by the Home Team Science and Technology Agency in strategic collaboration with Milipol. The event highlights advancements in Artificial Intelligence driven technologies aimed at strengthening public safety and fostering a safer, more resilient environment.

MTX26 brought together approximately 15,000 participants from 75 countries including senior government officials, industry leaders, experts and academics from around the world. It serves as a key platform to discuss the latest innovations, share emerging technology trends, address public safety challenges and strengthen strategic cooperation within the global public safety community. The Opening Ceremony of MTX26 was officiated by His Excellency K. Shanmugam.

Prior to attending MTX26, the delegation from Brunei Darussalam conducted a working visit to the Singapore Prison Service. The visit aimed to study and assess the implementation and effectiveness of the electronic monitoring system in Singapore, as well as to exchange views and learn best practices related to the use of the technology.
